Willow Ravenwood

Willow was born and raised in Chimera, alongside Nikolaos and Kellen. The three met when Willow's mother, Rosemary, looked in on the children of her best deceased friends, Sythra and Quaral. During these visits, Rosemary would often bring Willow with her and the children would play.Willow knew from a very young age that Kellen would be the one she married. She had loved him from the beginning and they were among the first to discover the telepathic link between the Chosen and their soul mates.Through their schooling, Willow wanted to ensure that she would be an important part of their destiny. She paid close attention to what each person was strong with and chose to focus her abilities on becoming a healer because she realized that they thought that their immortality made them indestructable and had given little focus to it.

Catal Wolfe

Catal is the crowned prince of Catseye and son to Bacchus and Adia Wolfe. He is their oldest son and second in age to his sister, who had been married to the prince of another country to promote peace between the nations.At the age of sixteen, Catal was called to participate in a rite that every person who is trained in the magykal ways is a part of: The Rite of Passage. There, he and a woman with curly black hair and gray eyes participated in the ancient tradition and Catal fell in love with her. The only problem was that he didn't know her identity and, if tradtion had its way, he never would. He looked for her everywhere he went and began to frequent taverns, hoping he would see her. He never found her that way.Catal was also the subject of a contract his father had drafted with one of the oldest families of Catseye: the Cunninghams. The contract said that Catal was to marry the woman closest to his age who had Cunningham blood running in her veins. No woman was specifically named because no one had thought it necessary. The Cunningham family had dwindled down to a very small tree and there was only one girl that Catal could marry, as far as they knew.Catal spent months looking for a loophole that he and his half-brother Kalak finally discovered late one night, guiding Catal to the one woman he never thought he would find.

Kalak Wolfe

Kalak is known as the Bastard Prince because he is the result of the king's union with his official mistress. He has no official claim to the throne unless something were to happen to Catal, whom he loves unconditionally.He often trades places with Catal when the crowned prince needs a break from the pressures of palace life. In doing so, he enables Catal's wild side and is left as a quiet, reserved young man who very rarely takes a chance. One of the few chances he does take is when he meets Hally. Instantly he finds her alluring, beautiful, and familiar. He recognizes her red hair and green eyes from his night of the Rite of Passage and begins to find ways to win her heart. When he thinks that things cannot possibly get better, he is crushed by events he could not have foreseen.

Sinead Nightlock

Sinead knew of the Chosen only because her parents were heavily involved in the lives of their parents. She knew that they existed and what their ultimate purpose was, but she knew nothing of the people themselves.She didn't give them much thought either because their purpose was something she didn't think would ever be necessary and they were never in her presence...Until her father escorted Reulo into her life.When she met him, he had been unconscious. She had assisted Nikolaos's parents as well as her own as they made him as comfortable as they possibly could. She watched over him when there was no one else around, and she helped nurse him back to health when he violently woke. She shared her heartbreaking past with him as he shared his with her. In their pain, they discovered that they were linked as soul mates and Sinead vowed to do what she could from the sidelines to protect Reulo's heart.
